NYC school buses to be equipped with cameras to catch reckless drivers

Logan Bus Company—which already contracts 1,900 buses with the city—and BusPatrol, will foot the bill.

The bill allowing school districts to use the high-tech cameras passed the state Senate on Wednesday. It now goes to Gov. Cuomo for approval after previously passing the Assembly.

Ten buses in the city will be equipped with the cameras as part of a trial program.
